Prof. Dr. Amelia Foster is an accomplished computer scientist and academic leader whose work bridges software engineering, cloud-native systems, and automation-driven DevOps culture. With more than 18 years of experience in academia and applied research, she has been instrumental in advancing modern software practices that drive innovation in global tech ecosystems.
Prior to joining Woodcroft University, Dr. Foster led large-scale development projects for Microsoft Research and IBM Cloud Labs, where she focused on microservices architecture, container orchestration, and large-scale CI/CD automation frameworks.
At Woodcroft, she has built one of the most forward-thinking online schools of computer science, fostering collaboration between AI engineers, full-stack developers, and cloud specialists. Under her leadership, the faculty has launched programs that emphasize hands-on, industry-integrated learning, preparing students for tomorrow’s software economy.
Dr. Foster’s research integrates AI-enhanced automation and cloud reliability frameworks to optimize enterprise software deployment cycles. Her current projects include developing predictive DevOps models that use machine learning to forecast system anomalies before production impact. She also heads the Woodcroft Software Systems Innovation Lab (WSSIL), which partners with leading software companies and open-source communities to explore serverless architectures, autonomous code testing, and secure software pipelines. Her research has been featured in ACM Transactions on Software Engineering, IEEE Cloud Computing Review, and the International Journal of Systems Innovation.
